Family. ❤️
For those that don’t know, here is a little bit of our family’s story. Brennan (on left) and Jarrott (on right) are 22 year old twins. My stud of a brother, Brennan, is one of the hardest workers I know. He shows love to everyone in his life and has compassion on others in the purest way. I hate that he lives in Florida, and I’m trying to con him to move back to Kansas 😉. Both of the boys were both born very premature, and Brennan just had to grow a bit as a preemie, but Jarrott was a different story. He was not fully developed at birth and his brain scans showed that he had severe cerebral palsy and would never walk or talk. The doctors pressured my parents to take him off the ventilator and let him die because he would have “no quality of life”. They refused. Today Jarrott is 22 years old, a high school graduate and a long distance runner. He’s an inspiration to everyone who meets him with his positive attitude and kind, sensitive heart. ❤️

Shasmita (to my left) is my spunky volleyball & basketball playing 14 year old sister. She was adopted from India when she was 4 years old. The heart on this girl! Let me tell ya, you will not find a more compassionate and better friend in any other 14 year old girl. I was 13 when my family adopted Shas and experiencing that change to our family has been one of the greatest joys of my life. Our family wouldn’t be complete without this sweet girl. 😍

And that leads me to this. Adoption and foster care have been on my heart immensely lately. As a newlywed my husband and I have discussed fostering in our future and the possibility of adoption. I would love to connect to other young couples that have fostered or adopted. To pick your brain & know your heart. If anyone is open to talking and sharing their story, my email is always open. All love 💕
